The on-going racial injustice, the pandemic with its accompanying economic implosion, and the upcoming 2020 elections present an opportunity to demand that our elected leaders take a new path and center the needs of women and girls of color in their policies.

Thus, a small cohort of groups, including the National Women’s Law Center, National Partnership for Women and Families, In Our Own Voice, National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum, Black Feminist Future, MomsRising, Girls for Gender Equity, United State of Women, YWCA USA, PPFA, NARAL, Center for Reproductive Rights, Times Up, CAP, NOW, Supermajority, Julie Kashen, Vicki Shabo, Family Values at Work, Coalition of Labor Union Women, and more, have come together to advise on, shape, guide, and/or draft the attached letter to all federal elected officials and candidates that both states our values and provides a broad outline of the community’s policy priorities. This letter is meant to be a first communication of policy priorities by the broader community, to be followed by additional action after further community discussion (timing TBD).
