Fifty years ago, our foremothers pushed back against the same type of ignorance and arrogance we see today from anti-women politicians. They demanded women’s right to determine their own futures, to decide for themselves whether and when to have children, and to have equal treatment under the law. They won many battles. And we have benefited.
But today, we today find ourselves fighting the very same fights — not just in one isolated state, but across the country and in the U.S. Congress. How many times do we have to educate those in power about the medical necessity for safe, legal, and affordable abortion care? How many times do we have to convince those in power that women – all women – have a fundamental right to bodily autonomy?
I don’t know about you, but I am sick and tired of protesting this sh*t! I bet you are, too! Let’s join together to let right-wing extremists know that we may be tired, but we‘re still committed to winning this fight!
