TOMORROW: CHRISTIAN F. NUNES, NATIONAL PRESIDENT OF NOW
TO RALLY FOR THE PASSAGE OF S1, THE FOR THE PEOPLE ACT
Washington, D.C. – On Wednesday, June 9, the President of the National Organization for Women (NOW) Christian F. Nunes will join national civic leaders and elected officials at a rally on the steps of the United States Supreme Court in support of S.1, the For the People Act.
Hosted by voting rights coalition Declaration for American Democracy, Nunes will speak alongside Senators Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), and Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), and many other confirmed speakers, to call on Senators Mitch McConnell (R-AL) and Joe Manchin (D-WV) and others in Congress to stop obstructing the passage of this vital bill.
The rally encourages participants to attend in person or to join the Facebook live stream. Rally participants will be delivering a petition signed by hundreds of thousands of Americans who support the For the People Act.
