The Republican House leadership today did the right thing—for the wrong reasons.
On March 8, International Women’s Day, women around the country will strike to demand gender equality. The National Organization for Women will proudly take action for human rights alongside them.
Hernandez was one of the founding officers of the National Organization for Women in 1966, and served as NOW’s national president from 1970-1971.
The message here is women’s rights are human rights, and we are not taking a single
step back.
