Sen. Murkowski—Women are counting on you to vote NO on Blanche

We are down to the wire.  

Todd Blanche’s nomination for Attorney General will be up for procedural vote in the Senate on Friday, with a full floor vote on Saturday. This week Blanche said that he will “prioritize” restrictions on medication abortion. With this new attack — on top of all of the other corruption — we can’t let his confirmation pass. 

Chances of stopping his nomination are dicey. Sen. Susan Collins has said she will vote NO, which means with Sen. Mitch McConnell MIA, we need one more NO vote to sink it. This is the best chance we’ve got. 

Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska has stood up for women on the Senate floor before, sometimes as the only Republican voice in our corner. For the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation, Sen. Murkowski was the only Republican to vote NO. She supports the codification of Roe v. Wade and voted against federal restrictions on abortion for veterans. She has also voted against the SAVE Act and the SAVE America Act. A true moderate, Sen. Murkowski may be our last hope.
