Pacific District
Rosa M. Colquitt
I have read and understand the list of Board responsibilities. If elected, I commit to fully supporting our President and Vice President, all Board colleagues and NOW staff.
There are many profound reasons why I choose to make this service commitment at the present time, but one motivation that stands out in my mind is the recent historic attack on Intersectionality, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, particularly AGAINST WOMEN. In consideration of the NOW Bylaws, “Article IV, Subunits, Section 4, “Because Affirmative Action and Intersectionality are NOW priorities, all levels of NOW shall have action plans to increase their Intersectional Diversity.” In view of my professional work in developing programs to secure equal access for under-represented women of color in healthcare and education, I look forward to supporting and working with national Board members in the responsibility to train state organizations and chapters in implementing their own Intersectional Diversity programs.
As a feminist and activist community leader, I have fought tirelessly, for the past decade and longer to achieve NOW’s critical priorities and core agenda. In a brief overview of local, state and national leadership positions, I have served as Chapter President, Greater Portland NOW, holding together the largest local chapter in the state of Oregon. Using my professional training in education, research and data analysis, I have worked with NOW members and volunteers, and elected officials to develop a survey of human interests and motivational activities to compile data for a proactive, progressive “Portland Women’s Agenda.” Secondly, from 2020 to the present date, I have served as a Oregon NOW State Chapter Board Member. At the national level, my commitment includes two successful terms as co-chair, NOW Elections Committee, 2023 and 2025. Most recently, November 2025, I was voted and appointed Pacific District Interim Board Member to the National NOW Board.
Regarding my bio, I grew up in an Army family living on various military bases on the East Coast and Southern United States, spending 5½ years in Kaiserslautern, Germany. Travel to the Caribbean Islands also helped to inform how I relate to people of all races, cultures, genders, lifestyles and beliefs. However, even more important than travel, family has been instrumental in my life’s direction. Two remarkable, amazing, beautiful women most influenced my core values of feminism, trust and integrity. These beloved women were my mother, Rosa, for whom I am named, and my grandmother Mattie. Despite having little formal education, they educated their children and never backed down from a public indignity. I still miss the humor, the grit and the fortitude of ‘Mama Rosa’ and ‘Granny Mattie’.
Academically, I hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate degree in Educational Research.
I honor NOW’s core priorities, values and feminist agenda. I genuinely appreciate serving our membership and I reaffirm my opening statement: If elected, I commit to fully supporting our President and Vice President, all Board members and advisors, and NOW staff. I sincerely thank you for your vote.
Camerina P.S. Davidson
Camerina P.S. Davidson is a lifelong feminist organizer who believes deeply in the power of grassroots movements to transform systems and build real equity for women and girls. That commitment began when she joined NOW in high school—and it has shaped her path ever since.
As President of California NOW, Camerina leads with an unapologetically intersectional lens, grounding her work in equity, inclusion, and collective power. She has been a driving force in the San Gabriel Valley NOW, advancing reproductive freedom, confronting domestic violence, and strengthening local feminist organizing that moves from conversation to action. Camerina is also a Sign4ERA Champion, fiercely advocating for full recognition of the Equal Rights Amendment and constitutional equality for all.
Her commitment to sexual assault survivors is equally powerful—she has served as a sexual assault advocate and as Board Chair of Project Sister Family Services.
As a mentor with Democrashe, Camerina invests in the next generation of feminist leaders, helping emerging changemakers build bold, community-driven solutions rooted in justice.
Her feminism continues to evolve, grounded in the understanding that feminism must be intersectional. Camerina reminds us that progress happens when we make space for all voices to be heard and make decisions to create a safe, feminist, inclusive future for women and girls.
