For 55 years, NOW has been at the forefront of progressive and feminist change in our local and national institutions. NOW’s grassroots activists have been on the ground protecting the constitutional right to abortion care, including holding round-the-clock vigils at abortion clinics and leading the fight for reproductive health rights in the courts. From championing racial justice initiatives like Breonna’s Law, named after Breonna Taylor, and the Black Maternal Health Momnibus Act of 2021 to our long-time leadership on the Equal Right Amendment, Title IX, and Violence Against Women Act, NOW has never backed down from tough fights.
We will continue to fight as we push for more inclusive, feminist, and just solutions and policies. There is more work to be done and we are ready to continue our efforts through the next 55 years. NOW encourages members, prospective members, and anyone interested in learning more about NOW and our intersectional feminist agenda to attend this historic conference and help us celebrate this milestone!
