NOW is participating in a coalition to collect signatures in support of removing the time limit on the Equal Rights Amendment. As Virginia makes progress towards becoming the final state needed to ratify the ERA, NOW wants to ensure that there is a groundswell of support to rescind the 1972 deadline (simultaneously rescinding the 1982 extension deadline as well) and demand that the ERA is certified and implemented two years following that, according to the law.
Please print this petition, make as many copies as you need and collect as many signatures as you can! The Women’s March will be a great place to collect signatures. Please scan and send us the names you collect on Saturday ASAP at graphics@now.org. If you continue to collect signatures after Saturday, you may continue sending us scanned petitions at a later date.
