NOW Adopts Resolution Denouncing Antisemitism

WASHINGTON, D.C. –– It is no longer enough to just denounce antisemitism. As leaders in the equality movement, we must go further to support our Jewish colleagues, friends, and fellow citizens. The National Organization for Women (NOW) has always stood against hate in any form. This week NOW doubled down on our commitment to stop antisemitism. NOW’s board of directors voted unanimously to adopt a resolution condemning all forms of antisemitism in light of increasing attacks and discrimination against the Jewish community – nationally and globally.

The resolution reinforces NOW’s commitment to advancing equality and social justice for all, supporting marginalized communities, and fighting prejudice. In addition to rebuking antisemitic behavior, the motion outlines the organization’s intention to create sustained programming and outreach to this community through membership recruitment and collaborative partnerships with Jewish women’s advocacy groups.

NOW stands in solidarity with Jewish women and is dedicated to raising awareness both inside and outside the organization on the unique challenges they face. Hatred thrives in the silence and NOW calls on the women of the world to speak out and combat dangerous rhetoric that puts communities at risk.
