The Paycheck Fairness Act helps women fight the wage gap by requiring greater transparency from employers – who would have to show that wage differences are job-related and not gender-based — and protects employees from retaliation when they share information about compensation.
Due to the important nature of this bill, we’ve teamed up with Democracy for America to get as many signatures as possible in support of the Paycheck Fairness Act.
This bill is about equality for women. It’s about recognizing women’s work as equal to their male peers. Really, what the bill is about is right there in the name: fairness!
