On Trial’s Sidelines, Abortion Foes Are Divided

Monica Davey of The New York Times writes: “When the trial of the man accused of murdering a doctor who performed late-term abortions begins on Monday in Wichita, Kan., Troy Newman, the leader of Operation Rescue, an anti-abortion group with headquarters a few miles from the courthouse, says he will most likely be at his desk, as usual, and certainly nowhere near the courtroom.”
