For 60 years, the National Organization for Women (NOW) has led the charge for gender justice—transforming outrage into action and building the largest grassroots feminist movement in the United States. Founded in 1966 by visionaries including Betty Friedan, Dr. Reverend Pauli Murray, and Muriel Fox, NOW continues today with powerful, intersectional activism across every state, advancing reproductive freedom, racial justice, LGBTQIA+ rights, and constitutional equality.

Check out what is coming in 2026 and we invite you to join us as we celebrate the legacy and the future of a movement that still shapes history.

The Sanewashing of the Natalist Movement

Natalism is having a moment, and so is the far right. This week’s guest, journalist and author Seyward Darby, says that’s no coincidence. In this episode, Kim and Rose sit down with Seyward to unpack what natalism is, its dark ties to eugenics, and why so many, from Silicon Valley tech bros to Timothy Chalamet, seem to have bought into it.

Whether you’re a lifelong feminist or newly feminism-curious, join us this season as Kim and Rose speak with the movers and shakers defining the feminist movement. Listen to new episodes of Feminism NOW released every other Wednesday. To find out more about the National Organization for Women, visit our website.

The Feminist Public Square Is Back — And Bolder Than Ever

We’re thrilled to announce the return of NOW’s Feminist Public Square — your go-to gathering space for big ideas, bold conversations, and brilliant books that shape our feminist future.

Next year, the week of January 5th, we’re diving into powerful new reads that challenge, inspire, and connect us — each one linked to NOW’s core issues: reproductive rights and justice, economic justice, ending violence against women, racial justice, LGBTQIA+ rights, and constitutional equality.
